WE HAVE TO STOP ACCEPTING VIOLENCE AS INEVITABLE.
Risk Unlimited helps women, girls, and carers manage real-world risk — with calm, expert support before things escalate.

VIOLENCE IS THE GLOBAL PANDEMIC THAT WE NEED TO PUT AN END TO.
Every day, women and children navigate threats that are minimised, dismissed, or ignored.
We’re told to “be careful,” but not how.
We’re told it’s normal — or worse, that it’s our fault.
1 in 3 women globally will experience physical or sexual violence
Most violence is committed by someone known to the victim
Many women never report — and many more don’t know what to do next
That doesn’t mean nothing can be done. It means something must.
But hey, don’t take our word for it. Just look at the data!
An estimated 18 million children experience sexual abuse.
An estimated 44 million children are physically abused.
EUROPE
An estimated 55 million children suffer psychological abuse..
850 children between the ages of 15-19 die every year as a result of mistreatment.
Suicide is the second leading cause of death for teens between the ages of 15 and 19 in Europe!
Violence against women and girls is not a niche issue.
It’s widespread, deeply normalised, and too often hidden in plain sight:
1 in 3 women experience violence in their lifetime
Most cases are never reported
Many survivors are told they’re overreacting, imagining it, or to “just be careful”
This isn’t inevitable. It’s preventable — when we have the right tools.

VIOLENCE CAUSES MORE AVOIDABLE DEATH, SUFFERING AND HARM THAN ANY OTHER HUMAN BEHAVIOUR
USA
There were 558, 899 victims of child abuse in 2022. That’s 8 children for every 1000.
1,990 children died as a direct result of abuse and neglect in 2022. (an increase from previous year)
1,990 children died as a direct result of abuse and neglect in 2022.
59,044 children were sexually abused in 2022 - girls were disproportionately affected.
The highest rates of child abuse are in children under 1 year of age. Yes, you read that right. 76% of babies who die, die from neglect.
Behind each statistic is a real human. A person with real experiences. Experiences that shape and ruin their future.
Many are forced to suffer in silence and bear a burden of shame that is not theirs to bear.
We cannot keep treating violence as something unpreventable.
We cannot wait until it’s too late.

Make it stand out.
What about women?
50,000,000
ATTACKED
One in three women in Europe - around 50 million women - experience physical, sexual or psychological violence in their lifetime.
376,000
RAPED & ASSAULTED
In the US in 2023 376,000 women reported an incident of rape or sexual assault. The figure was around 100,000 for men. One in six women experience an attempted rape or completed rape in their lifetime.
300
525,000
MURDERED
In Europe, 300 women are murdered every year by their partner of ex-partner. That is 45 women per week.
AGGRAVATED ASSAULT
In the United States, there were a reported 525.000 violent assaults against women and 98.000 rapes reported in 2022 alone.
5
U.S FEMALE HOMICIDES
The United States has one of the highest female homicide rates among high income countries with over five women murdered a day.
1,400,000,
EMERGENCY MEDICAL DATA
1.4 million assault-related injuries see by emergency hospital services in 2021 alone.
12 million adults suffer violence at the hands of their intimate partner every year in the United States. The vast majority are women.
Just imagine the scope! And worst thing is we know these figures are huge underestimates!
We can’t afford to wait around until men decide to change. Not when a sexual predator lurks in the White House, in plain sight, immune.

THE WORLD OF VIOLENCE WE HAVE CREATED
Over 80 ongoing armed conflicts in the world with a 30% increase in civilians killed in 2024.
More than one in six children globally live in areas affected by armed conflict.
10,000 children killed or maimed in Yemen armed conflict since 2015
30,127 children killed in Syria since 2011. 198 died from torture. Around 5, 229 are imprisoned or have disappeared.
The proportion of women killed in armed conflict doubled in 2023 with respect to previous years with a 50% also in armed conflict related sexual violence.
Sadly, that is not even close to being the tip of the violence iceberg..
“I object to violence because when it appears to do good, the good is only temporary; the evil it does is permanent.”

We have wiped out an astounding 60% of the animal population on this planet.
10 million animals die from abuse or cruelty per year in the United States alone.
“Wanton killing of innocent civilians is terrorism, not a war against terrorism.” Noam Chomsky

Global military spending per year is soaring and reached $2.46 trillion in 2024
When did fighting to end violence become ‘naïeve’ or ‘unrealistic’?
Why do we fail to hold our political leaders accountable for the violence they use or let happen?
When will ALL children be safe and able to reach their full potential?
Why do we continue to support some wars and oppose others when we know nothing good comes from war?
When can women stop worrying about being raped and harassed?P

Do you not think it is time to change?
IF SO, KEEP ON SCROLLING.
Here’s what we do
ACTIVE TRAINING & SKILL SHARING
Every woman deserves the knowledge and skills to navigate risk and stay safer. Our training focuses on situational awareness, risk reduction, and practical strategies to manage threats—whether physical, sexual, or psychological. These essential skills can make all the difference in avoiding or de-escalating dangerous situations.
INFORMED. EMPOWERED. PROTECTED.
Knowledge is a powerful tool against violence. We work to ensure that research and data on violence are accessible to all, helping individuals and communities make informed decisions. Understanding rights and holding authorities accountable are essential steps in creating a safer, more just society.
PROTECTION BEYOND PAPER
Too many support services only step in after the damage is done. Restraining orders often fail, sometimes even escalating danger. For too long, women and children have been forced to endure violence in silence. We focus on pragmatic, real-world protective measures for those who feel at risk—because prevention should be a priority, not an afterthought.
CHALLENGING SILENCE & COMPLICITY
Violence and abuse thrive behind closed doors—in homes, social spaces, and workplaces. And too often, people look the other way. Whether it’s family members shielding perpetrators, neighbors unsure how to intervene, or outdated norms that discourage ‘getting involved’—complicity enables abuse. We work to shift societal responsibility from passive bystanders to active allies.
ADVOCATING FOR CHANGE
Underreporting of gender-based violence isn’t the fault of victims—it’s a symptom of broken systems. Many laws and frameworks designed to protect women and children are deliberately vague, creating loopholes that allow abuse to continue. Socio-cultural forces further silence victims and discourage action. We challenge these barriers and push for real, systemic change.
ENDING BLAME & SHAME
No one deserves violence. No woman should be shamed for reporting abuse. No child should lose a limb to war. Yet, we live in a world where survivors are scrutinized more than perpetrators, where victims of violence are forced to justify their trauma. We reject the culture of blame and the wars—both personal and political—that continue to target the most vulnerable.

We advance our technology, but fail as a species in human rights, ethics and peace.
We shake our heads every time we hear yet another murder of a woman but most of us do nothing.
When known sexual predators are elected to office, what message does that send to young boys and men?
We watch as violent men and rapists are given light sentences & become repeat offenders while it is the victims who are shamed & blamed.
Violence persists and takes hold in societies because we let it.

Our goals are
because we believe that…
Violence is a choice we make, not a necessity
As a species, we can do so, so much better but it’s literally now or never, we are on a very, very slippery slope and have decided to make more money than peace.
If every individual operated under the ‘do no harm’ principle, just imagine our world
Prevention is always better than damage control.
Advances in medicine or technology amount to nothing if not applied to alleviate suffering and achieve peace
There are always more threats facing you than you can imagine
most systems are unfair and that not everyone has the same opportunities
